BVCC’s Guided Playgroups – March 2024

Where: Bay View Community Center – 1320 E Oklahoma Ave.

When: Friday, March 29th from 1:00pm-2:30pm

March topic: “Social and emotional competence of children” (Helping children understand feelings)

BVCC’s Family Resource Center now offers Guided Playgroups! Guided Playgroups focus on two crucial elements: child agency (the child directs the learning) and gentle adult guidance to ensure that the child progresses toward a learning goal. This program is a learning opportunity for both children and their parents/caregivers!


Activities include sensory exercises, arts & crafts, storytimes & singalongs, and more!


Sessions end with a “family style snack” that all participants will make together!
